On 18-19/09/2024, the Inaugural Meeting of the project "Preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment Study (EIA) and a Special Ecological Assessment Study (SEA) for the Assessment of the Possible Effects of the possible creation of a New Quarry Zone in the Community was held on 18-19/09/2024 in Androlikou Androlikos of Paphos District, in the Species and Habitats of the areas of the Natura 2000 Network "Akama Peninsula Special Protection Zone (CY4000023)" and "Akama Peninsula Special Conservation Zone (CY4000010)". The project was assigned to the TALOS-EXORYXI-YNB Consortium and started on 15/09/2024 with a total duration of 14 months. At the Opening Meeting 18/09/2024 there was a presentation of the project and the Group of Experts of the Consortium in the Service of Mines & Quarries and the Steering Committee of the Project. On the 2nd day, an on-site autopsy was performed in the area of the proposed extension of the Quarrying Zone of Androlikos and in the cave of Petratis where bats nest.
